Round Table Discussion organized by CSDG – Center for the Study of Democracy and Governance aimed to address the need to limit private interests on politics and the economy, as a consolidated practice with negative consequences for long-term and sustainable development economic and social of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The consequences created by clientelistic relationships and favoritism have emphasized the presence of problems such as market monopolization, lack of competition, low economic well-being, lack of information and unemployment, the increase of inequalities and the violation of social cohesion, undermining the trust of citizens in state institutions. .
Now that the opening of negotiations with the European Union is a priority for Albania, addressing these challenges should also focus on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2611\ufe0f Limiting the influence of private interests on politics and the economy;
\u2611\ufe0f Building a state with equal opportunities and access;
\u2611\ufe0f Ensuring full transparency and strong measures that promote a competitive economy;
