Position paper “Lights and Effects of the New Judicial Map”

Albanian Helsinki Committee organized an open discussion table to present the position paper “Lights and Effects of the New Judicial Map”.


Through this drafted document, the KSH first emphasizes the lack of a comprehensive and transparent process of the working group during the drafting of the New Judicial Map. The effects that the reorganization of the system will have on the right to access to justice are also evident, linking it to the lack of infrastructure in our country to ensure justice without delays and access to justice for all citizens. The document also deals with system vacancies and the effect this fact has on this process.


Invited to the table were Mr. Reinout Vos, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Albania, Mr. Alexis Hupin, Head of the Political, Economic and Information Section at the EU Delegation in Albania, Mr. Klajdi Karameta, Deputy Minister of Justice, Mr. Ilir Rusi, Deputy Chairman of the KLJ, Mr. Robert Gajda, Commissioner for Protection from Discrimination as well as many representatives of civil society, accredited embassies in the country, media, lawyers, experts in the field.


The roundtable managed to bring together some of the key actors of this process, making it possible to share different thoughts and opinions, which serve to improve everyone’s work.
