Today we hold a discussion table “Evaluation of the Performance Evaluation System of Prosecutors in Albania: Problems and Recommendations” where the policy paper drafted by the Center for the Study of Democracy and Governance was presented.
This meeting was attended by Mirela Bogdani, Chairwoman, High Prosecutorial Council, Olsian Cela, General Prosecutor of the Republic of Albania, Jorida Tabaku, Chairwoman of the Commission for European Affairs, as well as members of the HPC, prosecutors, experts, diplomats and civil society. The analysis aimed to highlight the problems and indicators related to the performance of prosecutors through five main parameters such as: 1) Fairness and objectivity, 2) Accuracy and reliability, 3) Comprehensiveness, 4) Transparency and accountability, and 5) Orientation towards results.
The findings and recommendations of this document were evaluated as a basis for raising awareness about the functioning of the prosecutor evaluation system and what steps need to be taken to make this system functional.
