As part of Winter ELSA Law School Tirana, a panel discussion was held at the premises of Europe House Tirana within the framework of ClusterOne platform, implemented by the Centre for the Study of Democracy and Governance and the Albanian Helsinki Committee. The panel provided a valuable space for dialogue on democratic governance, civic participation, and the rule of law in the European context.

The discussion brought together distinguished speakers, including H.E. Reinout Vos, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Albania; Arjan Dyrmishi, Executive Director of the Centre for the Study of Democracy and Governance; Erida Skëndaj, Executive Director of the Albanian Helsinki Committee; Irena Topalli, Youth Participation Expert at Beyond Barriers Association; Arenca Trashani, former Member of the Parliament of Albania; and Florian Xhafa, Executive Director of the Institute for Policy and Law.

The panel was moderated by Dhimitër Zguro, Director for Advocacy at ELSA International, who guided the discussion and encouraged an open exchange of views among the speakers. Key topics included youth engagement, democratic resilience, institutional accountability, and Albania’s European integration path.

Participants of WELS Tirana actively engaged in the discussion, having the opportunity to ask questions and interact directly with the speakers. This exchange enriched the learning experience, allowing participants to connect academic knowledge with real-world perspectives and policy practice.
